UWE Rosler saluted his battling Brentford heroes for becoming the first side to take a home point off Sheffield Wednesday this season.

The Bees kept up their excellent away form, which has seen them not lose since their last visit to the steel city back in August, by holding Wednesday to a goalless draw at Hillsbrough.

And Rosler's men could even have nicked all three points had Miguel Llera's second half header been a couple of inches lower.

The Bees boss said: “I am very pleased with that result. I felt we started extremely well, and had 11 players out there all working for each other.

“It is no fluke that Wednesday have won every home game this season as they are a very good side, so to come here and get a draw showed great spirit, not many teams come here and get a point.

“They had more pressure than us, but the chances were quite even, and Miguel hit the crossbar with our best chance

“We had great support behind us, and there were plenty of positives for us to take from the game. Gary Alexander is not yet 100 per cent fit, but but he did very well for us out there.”
