UWE Rosler hailed Brentford's disciplined display as they ended the season on a high with victory at Chesterfield.

Josh Thompson's own goal, coupled with second-half strikes from Toumani Diagouraga and Clayton Donaldson, earned the visitors a 3-1 win at the B2net Stadium..

“At times we passed the ball well,” said Rosler. “The players showed great effort and attitude.

“We had a decent game, especially considering we had nothing to play for. It's nice that we had a reward at the end of the season.

“We restricted them to crosses and long shots. It was a good, solid team performance.”

Rosler reserved special praise for Leon Legge, who returned to the side in place of Karleigh Osborne.

He added: “Leon Legge hadn't played for a while but had a very good game. He won his headers and looked solid.”
