UWE Rosler praised Brentford's all-round team performance as they closed the gap on the automatic promotion places with an impressive win at Crewe.

Well-taken goals from Bradley Wright-Phillips and substitute Marcello Trotta sealed victory for the Bees at Gresty Road last night to climb up to third in the League One table, just two points behind second-placed Bournemouth, with a game in hand on their rivals.

And Rosler was full of praise for his young side as they capitalised on slip-ups from Doncaster, Sheffield United and Swindon 24 hours earlier.

He said: “The players were focused – everybody realised what a fantastic chance we had after the results on Tuesday.

“Everybody was fantastic. We had so many man-of-the-match performances.

“The back four did tremendous and the front two combined well. The substitutes also played their part and were very impressive.

“We done a professional job. We were attacking-minded, but knew what needed to be done to win the game.

“We created chances throughout the 90 minutes, which is a testament to how offensive we were.

“It's important we're getting clean sheets again as well because this is another two goals to our goal difference, which could prove vital in the end.

“It's in our own hands, which is a dream come true to be in this sort of position with four games remaining.”
