UWE Rosler reckons Marcel Eger answered his critics in last night's win at Charlton.

The German defender put in a poor performance in Saturday's home drubbing against Huddersfield, but was back to his best at the Valley as Brentford recorded an impressive 3-0 victory.

And Bees boss Rosler believes it was the perfect response from his players.

He said: “I think Marcel was criticised a lot. He knew he probably didn't have his best game against Huddersfield and it was a great response from him and the rest of the team.”

Rosler hauled his side in for a meeting on Sunday to discuss the capitulation against the Terriers.

And he insists it did the trick as the visitors dominated throughout in south London.

He added: “It was important for us to meet on Sunday and talk about the Huddersfield game and put it behind us.

“On Monday everybody came in in good spirit as that was crucial for everybody to come here in the right frame of mind.”
