UWE Rosler insists Brentford have the firepower to cope without top scorer Clayton Donaldson at Hartlepool on Saturday.

The 22-goal hitman will miss the trip to Victoria Park through suspension after his red card in Tuesday night's dramatic 2-2 draw at Sheffield United.

But with Bradley Wright-Phillips hitting top form and Marcello Trotta and Farid El Alagui also available, Rosler says they can cope.

He said: “Clayton Donaldson is always a threat with his pace, but unfortunately he got sent-off and won't be available for us.

“It's a massive bonus for us that we've got strikers who are in form because it's goals that win games and get you promoted.

“Bradley needed time but now he is fit, very motivated and offers us quality on the ball and Marcello is hitting form as well.”

Meanwhile, Brentford's appeal against Tony Craig's straight red card against the Blades will be heard this afternoon.

The Bees defender was dismissed for violent conduct following an off-the-ball clash with Dave Kitson, but the club remain confident the decision will be overturned.
