PIM Balkestein will return to Brentford on Monday to continue his treatment for a groin injury.

The Dutch defender, who is on loan at League One rivals Rochdale until January, had minor surgery this week in a bid to clear up the problem.

However, the former Ipswich Town centre-back is likely to resume his spell at Spotland within the next fortnight.

Balkestein has made 15 appearances for Steve Eyre's side since his switch to the North West in August.
