FRIENDLY KENSINGTON 217 all out Marlow Park 161-8 Kensington won by 56 runs HAMMAD RISHAD was a smidgen away from joining the double-up club of 50 runs and five wickets in a match on Sunday.
The KCC stalwart achieved the first, but was just a wicket short of passing the second landmark as his club cantered home anyway.
However, Rishad did equal the club record for the fastest 50 when
he blasted a quick-fire 62 off 33 balls - and his innings couldn't have come at a better moment.
Kensington were struggling at 122-7 on a decent batting track when Rishad came to the crease to move the total towards respectability.
He then clean-bowled four Marlow Park batsmen - starting with the very first ball of the innings.
Only Dave Ellis and George Dimascio offered much resistance.
But, despite a crack at the tail, Rishad could not get his fifth wicket as Kim Barlow and Chris Way stonewalled their way to the finish.
