CROCKED keeper Richard Lee revealed his shoulder injury was a ticking time bomb waiting to explode.

The 28-year-old suffered heartbreak when he dislocated his shoulder in Saturday's victory against Leyton Orient which ruled him out of the JPT final and the rest of the season.

However, Lee, whose penalty-saving heroics helped the Bees reach Wembley, insists it was only a matter of time until he picked up a serious injury after walking a tightrope for the past SIX years.

He said: "I ruptured my bicep when I was 22 which weakened my shoulder.

"I aggravated it when I saved the penalty against Brighton a couple of weeks ago, so I guess penalties have made me this season and broken me as well.

"Then it went fully against Orient. I suppose it was a ticking time bomb waiting to happen."
