RICHARD Lee was the penalty shoot-out hero again as Brentford booked their place in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy Southern Section final.
The Bees keeper saved Charlton's first THREE spot-kicks, and with Kevin O'Connor , Charlie MacDonald and Gary Alexander converting, help secure a 3-1 win.
The hosts dominated the opening half hour, with Alexander heading over the top and Robbie Simpson having a free-kick turned around the post.
But they had a let off just before the break when Karleigh Osborne's misplaced pass let in Kyle Reid, only for Richard Lee to parry his effort.
Both sides struggled to find a breakthrough in the second-half, with Osborne coming the closest for Brentford when he crashed a shot against the bar from eight yards after the ball dropped to him in the box.
MacDonald and Sam Wood missed golden chances to win it in stoppage-time as the game headed for penalties.
But Brentford held their nerve to set up a meeting with Exeter.
