Luke Gale insists wounded Harlequins Rugby League are determined to show their critics that their storming start to the season was not a flash in the pan.

Quins exceeded all expectation to top the league early on, recording impressive wins at the likes of Leeds and St Helens along the way.

But that great start was brought crashing down around their ears when new leaders Warrington Wolves put no less than 14 tries past them last Sunday.

And Gale, who converted Luke Dorn's try for Quins' only points, believes his side will put things right in front of their own fans this Sunday at home to Hull.

He said: “The critics will be saying normal service will be resumed for us now, but we don't care as they will be saying about us wherever we are in the table.

We prefer do do our talking on the pitch, and we will learn from the Warrington game and come back stronger.

We didn't do anything different from what we have been doing, we just weren't at the races. But I'm confident we can make amends on Sunday.”

Quins have reminded supporters to put their clocks forward on Sunday morning so they make the 2pm kick-off at The Stoop.

And anyone watching the Crusaders v Sharks game over the road at Twickenham at 4pm can watch Quins for just £10 upon producing their ticket for the other game, with half going to the Red Cross NZ Earthquake Appeal.
