ANDY Johnson has set his sights on a top-10 finish this season after completing his move to QPR.

The former Fulham frontman made the switch to Loftus Road yesterday, signing a two-year deal in W12.

Rangers narrowly escaped the drop on the final day last campaign, but AJ reckons the R's are putting together a squad capable of battling it out in the top half of the Premier League.

The 31-year-old old the club's official website: "The aim for QPR is to not be in the same position that they were last year.

"There's a great squad here with some top players, who didn't warrant being in the position that they were in on the final game of last season.

"The aim is to build on that and try and get the team in the top ten. The club has got to be looking at finishing in the top ten next season with the money that's being spent here and the players that they're going to invest in.

"With additions, the current squad and the management team that's in place here, I don't see any reason why we can't."
