CLINT Hill admits QPR have a mountain to climb in their battle against the drop.

Saturday's controversial defeat to Bolton saw Rangers slip into the bottom three, with Hill having a first-half header chalked off despite the ball clearly crossing the line.

The Rs have a nightmare run in, and still have to play Manchester United, Manchester City, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea in their last 10 games.

And Hill admits Mark Hughes's men face a tough task escaping relegation back to the Championship.

He said: “You do look at everything – every decision, mistake, missed tackle or opportunity – and think ‘if only that had gone our way’.

“But at the end of the day, you’re there because of the games you’ve played. The league table doesn’t lie. We haven’t been good enough for whatever reason.

“We’re going to have to do it the hard way now. We’ve got some big teams coming up, and if we do manage to escape it will be one hell of a season.”
