QUEENS Park Harriers won promotion for the first time in 12 years, as victory at Stevenage ensured they pipped nearest rivals West Sussex by just one point.

They are now back in Division Three of the Men's Southern League, and have their sights set on Division Two.

Debutant Omano Ocarso produced a brilliant winning time of 11.7 in the 100m and also prevailed in the A string 200m in 24.2 and the Shot in 9m 51.

James Walarych, competing in only his second season, came second in the 400m Hurdles and 3,000m Steeplechase but won the B string 800m.

Brendan Green was victorious in the A race 3,000m Steeplechase and B 5,000m and came runner up in the A 400m Hurdles.

John Ainsworth won the 5,000m B race while Wayne Roye floored the 800m A in 2.10. Roye finished second in the 1,500m (4.34) and won the B shot with 8m.09.
