Prudential RideLondon is the largest festival of cycling in the world, with more than 95,000 participants expected to ride more than 3m miles over five events at this year's event.

Prudential RideLondon will take place over Saturday August 1 and Sunday August 2 this year.

And this year, along with celebrity cyclists such as Bradley Wiggins appearing, double-Olympic champion and 2013 winner Laura Trott will be going head-to-head with Italy's 2014 champion Georgia Bronzini in the Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix, set to be a fiercely contested and fast-paced race.

Trott will be supported by five members of her Matrix Fitness team at the race, which will take place around St James' Park in Westminster on Saturday August 1 at 6pm.

Trott said: "I'm riding the Prudential RideLondon Grand Prix again this year and I’m really looking forward to it.

"It's always such a great event and my ambition, as ever, is to go out and win it.

"Every race I compete in I want to win so I'd like to think that I can do that again at Prudential RideLondon."

The Grand Prix will follow a fast, flat 1.3-mile loop around St James’s Park.

The route will see riders start on The Mall before racing towards Buckingham Palace, through two tight turns onto Birdcage Walk before taking a 90-degree left-hand turn into Horse Guards Road. The final left turn at the end of Horse Guards Road brings them back onto The Mall to finish facing Buckingham Palace.
