HAYES & Yeading have completed the loan capture of Peterborough United striker Ben Wright and re-signed James Mulley (pictured) on a short-team deal.

Boss Garry Haylock completed a treble swoop at lunch-time today with ex-Barnet and Macclesfield utility player Ahmed Deen also signed on a short-term deal.

The capture of 22-year-old Wright is a coup for manager Garry Haylock as he turned down offers from other Blue Square Bet Premier clubs to sign on at Church Road.

“I have had this on the back-burner for a while, but I had to try and do the deal with the financial structure that we have in place here and Peterborough have been a great help,” said Haylock. “He had other offers from Conference clubs, but he turned them down because he wanted to come here. I have worked hard on this deal, Ben's quality is in no doubt and he has been superb in training.”

Wright's move to London Road in 2009 has proven unsuccessful and he was loaned out to Luton Town, Grimsby and Barnet last season with two years still left on his contract with Posh.

Wright will come straight into contention for Saturday's opener against Blue Square Bet Premier new boys Bath City, along with Mulley and Deen, who have both signed short-team deals with Hayes.

Mulley completed a surprise return back to Church Road after coming close to earning a contract with Football League One side Charlton during a summer trial, while ex-Barnet and Macclesfield professional Deen has impressed during pre-season games with his versatility.
