TOUMANI Diagouraga has cleared the decks for a permanent move to Brentford.

The on-loan Peterborough United midfielder put in another man-of-the-match performance in Tuesday's night's win against Tranmere – watched by Posh chiefs Gary Johnson and Barry Fry.

But the 22-year-old, who is still under contract, is due to return to London Road at the end of the season.

However, Bees boss Andy Scott is keen to keep Diagouraga at Griffin Park, and the Frenchman has given the green light to stay in TW8.

He said: "I haven't spoken to anyone at Peterborough since I've been here so I don't know what's happening.

"But I'd be interested in a permanent move. Obviously I'll have to wait until the end of the season and see what everyone wants to do.

"I don't mind dropping down to League One. I've fitted in really well here. The atmosphere at the club is great; the management, the lads, everything is very good.

"I'm enjoying my football again, having a run of games makes all the difference. I'm in my best form for a long time. Hopefully I can get even better."
