DALE Bennett headed a late winner to earn Brentford their first home win since August.
The on-loan Watford defender pounced to meet Sam Saunders' corner in the final 10 minutes to seal a rare victory at Griffin Park for Uwe Rosler's men.
Brentford dominated the early stages and deservedly took the lead midway through the first-half.
Niall McGinn was brought down 25 yards from goal, and Saunders stepped up to curl the ball around the wall into the top left-hand corner.
But Brentford's advantage lasted a matter of minutes. The Bees defence failed to clear their lines, and Leon Clarke pounced to lash the ball past Richard Lee.
Mike Grella – making his first start since his switch from Leeds – saw a header drift agonisingly wide, while Clayton Doanldson's effort got blocked on the line.
Jonathan Douglas stung the hands of Greg Fleming after good work by McGinn, then dragged his rebound wide as Brentford piled on the pressure.
McGinn missed a gilt-edged chance to restore Brentford's lead when he fluffed his lines after being picked out by Donaldson, while the Northern Irishman was denied by Fleming minutes later.
However, they eventually found the winner nine minutes from time when Bennett swooped to head home Saunders' corner.
