NORTHWOOD TOWN 102 all out NORTHWOOD 103-3 Northwood won by seven wickets

NORTHWOOD claimed bragging rights with an emphatic seven-wicket win to heap more misery on relegation-haunted Northwood Town on Saturday.

After skittling Town out for just 102, Danny Rodgers started off Northwood's reply before perishing for 35 with 48 already on the board.

Tom Brockton (23) and Nigel Hussey (26) pushed them towards the total before both men were dismissed.

And it was left to skipper Simon Noach and Richard Wise to take them over the line with seven wickets to spare in just 27.5 overs.

Earlier, Johanes Van Ee got Town off to an explosive start with a quickfire 30.

And despite Rohan Lee's 40, a combination of poor shot selection from his fellow batsmen saw the hosts collapse for 102 all out.

Ross Noach led the way with three wickets, closely followed by Raj Latchman (2-9).

Town skipper Raj Ahluwalia blasted his misfiring batsmen.

He said: "The fact that nine batsmen got just 32 runs between them says a lot really.

"Our batting was very poor, and clearly we are not reaching a standard we need to if we are going to be competitive at this level."
