NORTHWOOD have officially confirmed the appointment of Gary Meakin as their new boss.
As predicted by the Gazette yesterday, the ex-Hillingdon Borough boss has been handed the reins at Northwood in a bid to turnaround the club's alarming slide down the Zamaretto Division One Central.
At the age of just 26, Meakin made a success of his first managerial job at Hillingdon Borough by saving them from relegation in the Spartan South Midlands Premier last season.
Meakin has since had Borough in the top half of the table for most of the season, despite having no playing budget, only a recent slump due to players leaving having them in the bottom half.
The ex-Harrow Borough boss replaces Steve Hale, who departed as manager on Tuesday.
