ANDRE Villas-Boas has rubbished reports that he has issued a directive to his players to celebrate goals with him.

Stories surfaced in national newspapers last week that the Chelsea boss wanted the bench to be included in the team's post-goal celebrations, but he says the source leaking the story got it wrong.

"I'm not arrogant and I would never ask for my players to come and celebrate with me a goal," Villas-Boas said. "Goal celebrations are for the players to express themselves."

"I told the Sun newspaper the other day they should get their money back from the informant because it's not true that I told the players to celebrate with me.

"It's incorrect, it's unfair and what was said was that when they score a goal, they see that the bench is going through the same emotions, because we are not on the pitch and we want to be on the pitch with them.

"We want to celebrate with them and its very very unfair that the story is portrayed in this way."
