HIS namesake was having a nightmare as England lost to Australia in the rugby, but there was at least one happy Martin Johnson last weekend.

The Duke Rangers Reserves player of the same name hit a last-minute winner as his side beat KTM 4-3 in the Intermediate Division. Duke had led 3-0 through a Dave Baker brace and a Dean Blackwell effort, before being pegged back.

However, there was less joy for the first team, who went down 6-1 at home to St Margarets, Reece Wells with the consolation.

Another last-minute winner came from Daryl Whyman as Hanworth City kept up their winning run in Division Two with a 5-4 victory over Elmwood Royals. Prolific Steve Reddings added two to his tally, with Craig Pike and an own goal completing the scoring.

In the Intermediate Division, Bruce Baden's brace helped Sunday Social defeat Sheen Park Rangers 6-2, with Billy Smith and Derek Deegan, Kevin Coyne and Daniel Twyford also netting. But James Smith's double, plus an Aaron McSweeney strike, could only earn Feltham Cowboys a 3-3 draw at Alxion Castle.

Matt Mepham notched twice and Sean Harris and Jack Woodard were on target as Hanworth Villa Sunday B beat Hampton Badgers 4-2, while James McEwan's 25-yard free kick booked Hanworth Villa Sunday A a Middlesex Premier County Cup third round tie with AFC Harrow, beating Sunbury Athletic 1-0. In the Feathers Cup, Jit Bhakia bagged the decisive spot-kick as Beesotted booked a quarter-final place with a penalty shoot-out win over GSK.
