MARCUS Bean has vowed to fill the void left by crocked team-mate Shaleum Logan .

The Brentford midfielder was used as a makeshift right-back in Saturday's home defeat to Charlton after Logan was stretchered off with a head injury.

The former Manchester City full-back has been discharged from hospital, but won't be fit for this weekend's trip to Rochdale.

And with Kevin O'Connor also in the treatment room, boss Uwe Rosler is short of options on the right-hand side of defence.

“It's the first time I played there, but defensively I thought I done well,” said Bean. “Generally I felt quite comfortable in that position.

“I'm a professional footballer so I'm happy to play any role. I've been out of the team so any minutes on the pitch is good for me at the moment.

“I'll do whatever the gaffer wants and if he wants me to fill in there I will.”
