FRUSTRATED Charlie MacDonald must wait another month before finding out when he can play football again.

The Brentford striker has been sidelined since dislocating his shoulder against Gillingham in March, ending a season which had yielded 18 goals prematurely.

The former Southend hitman had known for a while he will miss the start of the new campaign, but still doesn’t know how long he’ll be absent for.

However, a visit to a specialist last week did provide some good news.

MacDonald said: "I saw my specialist last Wednesday, and he said the shoulder’s healing well and I’m making good progress.

"I’m starting to get some feeling back in it now and am building up its strength.

"I'll go back to see him again in four week’s time, and I will know a lot more then about how long I’ll be out for."
