Harrow made an 80-mile return trip to play a friendly game in the beautiful setting of Waddeston Manor near Aylesbury, but lost by 97 shots to 106.

Harrow's veterans team won their league game against Hendon by 69 shots to 24, and there was a win for the men's team against Roxeth by 82 shots to 63.

Harrow ladies have made it through to the third round of the Ladies Top Club knockout competition, in which matches are played in singles, pairs, triples and fours.

In the first round they defeated Hayes by 83 shots to 69, then won away at Uxbridge in round two.

* Culver veterans had a very close League game against Woodcock Park but, despite a good fight back, they eventually lost by three shots.

However, when they played their league match against Eastcote, Culver lost by 21 shots.

There was better news for the Culver men's team who played two league games in seven days against Stanmore, and won both of them, to bring a smile to the Captain's face.
