SHALEUM Logan insists no Brentford player will be thinking about the disaster at Stevenage last season when the two meet again tomorrow night.

The 2-1 reverse at Broadhall Way in April put paid to Bees play-off hopes made worse by two missed penalties.

But the right-back insists Brentford are in a better place this time around, and if there was a game that might have defined the season – it’s been and gone.

Logan reckons last week’s narrow win at Crawley has set the stall nicely for the run-in towards an automatic promotion spot.

He said: “That game at Stevenage was last season, but after this week the lads are full of confidence and we can get a win there.

“There won’t be thinking what happened then. That season’s been and gone.

“Now we’re in an ever better position to go full steam ahead.

“Yeah, we’re getting close to an automatic spot because teams are slipping up. And with no disrespect to Scunthorpe, it’s games like this we had to win.

“It could have been a morale killer had we slipped up at Crawley before that - but we came through and it’s set us up nicely for Stevenage.”
