JEFFREY Schlupp hopes his two-goal haul against Carlisle has made up for his nightmare miss the week before.

The on-loan Leicester City striker was forced to wait for his first goal in professional football after the miss of the season in the victory over Leyton Orient.

Schlupp had the goal at his mercy, only to hit the bar, and his gaffe has chalked up plenty of hits on YouTube.

But the German-Ghanaian frontman finally got off the mark against the Cumbrians with a nine-minute brace on Friday night to seal victory for the Bees.

He said: "It feels good to score, especially after that miss last week.

"It's got my name about! I was off balance and saw the glory, only for it to hit the bar.

"It wasn't as bad as Ronnie Rosenthal's though!"

After seeing his miss on the web, Schlupp got some inspiration for a celebration too.

He revealed: "Nathan [Byrne] and I planned it in training, it's called the 'jerk'.

"I saw it on YouTube and fancied giving it a go."
