A GOAL in each half from winger Max Gradel ended QPR's unbeaten record on the road in the Championship and moved Leeds up to second.

An open game, watched by nearly 30,000, was a credit to both sides in freezing conditions.

Neil Warnock's men started well in their bid to make a quick recovery from last week's 3-1 home defeat by Watford, but Gradel's half volley on 25 minutes put the home side in charge.

Paddy Kenny kept the Hoops in the game with a couple of fine sives to deny Luciano Becchio, but Rangers' hopes of salvaging something from the game all-but evaporated when Gradel grabbed his second in a breakaway on 70 minutes.
