WEALDSTONE'S defenders will have to be on their guard against Rotherham United danger man Adam Le Fondre.

The 23-year-old was snapped up by the Millers for an undisclosed fee in the summer on a three-year deal, having made his name in two years at Rochdale. His last goal came in the 1-1 draw with Hereford United on October 10.

And while Wealdstone have their uncompromising tough guys in James Gray and Chris O'Leary Rotherham's generals are tough-tackling defender Nick Fenton and the much-travelled striker, Drewe Broughton.

Millers boss Ronnie Moore is definitely without midfielder Micky Cummins (torn groin muscle) while Nicky Law should recover from tonsilitis in time to play.

Meanwhile, Stones club president and director Paul Rumens wants the current squad to summon the spirit of the club's heyday heroes and write a new chapter in FA Cup folklore.

He was in the crowd the last time the club reached this stage of the competition 23 years ago. Arguably the non-league giants of the early 80s, the Stones held Swansea to a 1-1 draw at Lower Mead with Andy Wallace netting. However, the Stones lost 4-1 at the Vetch Field in the replay.

"I think there were around 2,800 people there that day, it was a great atmosphere and it will be the same this Sunday," said Rumens.

"The team back then was quite an ageing side with a lot of ex-pros whereas now we have a much younger team. But there are three or four in the side who could easily play for a professional club - there is so much more to come from them."

He added: "Rotherham may play three divisions higher than us but we won't be the first or the last team to knock professional sides out of the competition."

Rotherham United (probable team): Andy Warrington (GK), Dale Tonge, Ian Sharps, Nick Fenton, Andrew Nicholas, Nicky Law, Danny Harrison, Pablo Mills, Kevin Ellison, Tom Pope, Adam Le Fondre.
