TWO goals in injury time provided a dramatic victory for Uxbridge on Saturday and effectively sealed their survival.

Now 18 points clear of bottom club Beaconsfield SYCOB with seven games to play, Uxbridge have backed up boss Tony Choules'

prediction that they would be well clear of relegation by the end of the season.

Uxbridge struggled to break down the stubborn visitors for long spells and had to wait until the hour mark for the opener, skipper Wayne Carter producing the slightest of touches to find the net after Stuart Farrell had headed on a Toby Little corner.

The hosts were stunned though when Alex O'Brien fired home a shot that proved too strong for Uxbridge goalkeeper Michael Piwonski to save.

There was a real twist in the tale to come though when Uxbridge staged a late rally that produced two goals in added time.

It all started with a cross from Little that Carter headed against a post, but Farrell was in the right place to finish what appeared to be a stoppage time winner.

However, there was even better to come from Uxbridge, and Little maintained his recent hot streak since joining on loan from Staines Town with a stinging drive past Leighton goalkeeper Kevin Marsh.

Meanwhile, the reserves suffered a 3-0 defeat at Three Bridges on Saturday.
