BRETT Johnson has given the green light to join AFC Wimbledon.

The former Brentford defender has been training with Terry Brown's boys after being shown the door from Griffin Park this summer.

And Johnson admits he's got no worries about dropping into non-league to move to Kingsmeadow.

He said: "I want to sign. The figures look right, and I like what I've seen.

"You only want to join a club that's moving forward, and AFC have won two promotions in a row."

Johnson struggled with injuries last campaign, but is confident he's back to full fitness as the Dons chase a place in the Football League.

"My shoulder is fine now," he said.

"I was better before the end of the season, but couldn't get back in the team."
