EDDIE Johnson has denied there is any anxiety at Craven Cottage after Saturday's 0-0 draw with Sunderland which made it seven without a win and only one success in 14.

The Whites remain perilously perched just above the drop zone with only two wins all season and the goals have dried up.

But the USA striker is sticking to the mantra that performances have been better than results and that one good win will have the Whites flying again.

"There's no anxiety," he insisted.

"Results haven't been going our way, but at the end of the day, we've been creating a lot of goalscoring opportunities and maybe just been a bit unlucky. Sometimes we play good football and don't get the right result.

"We've just got to take the positives out of Saturday's game. It's another draw, but it's also another point and I thought the second half we controlled most of the game."

Johnson added: "I don't feel we are far away from turning it around at all.

"Nothing's really changed much about the team. The same group of players have been here for the past couple of years and we all know what everyone's capable of doing.

"It's maybe going to take one of those games where we get the right result and take three points to get us going on a run."
