HUGHIE Sutherland of Team Headlights is still going strong as he won the Harrow Observer Pool League singles for the second time in his career – having previously won the gong 20 years ago.

Sutherland defeated Will Craig in the final to once again clinch silverware.

The presentation of trophies was held for a third year at the Tithe Farm Social Club on Friday and it proved to be a success as it attracted a huge turnout.

Riley A won the Division One for a fifth year in a row and also sensationally managed to go 20 games unbeaten throughout the whole league campaign.

But they failed to secure the League Cup with the talented team losing against League Two winners The Shaftesbury.

Other noticeable achievements included Dee Maiden winning the Ladies Singles, Steve Cook and Maria Duckett clinching the Mixed Doubles, and Rayners Tithe Farm bagging The Alan Mutton Inaugural Shield Winners trophy.

Alan Mutton, who has now retired, was also awarded a crystal decanter for more than 20 years as chairman and the last three years as treasurer.
