ADAM Thompson has cleared the decks to extend his loan at Brentford for another month.

The Watford defender has made three starts for the Bees – scoring one goal – since his switch to Griffin Park last month.

However, the Northern Ireland international is due to return to Vicarage Road after the trip to Oldham in a fortnight's time.

With first-choice right-back Shaleum Logan set for a lengthly spell on the sidelines, Thompson wants to extend his stay in TW8.

He said: “Last season I was getting a good run of games at Watford but the manager has brought in new players.

“This move is great for me. It's only a division below and there's a great feel-good factor at the club.

“I would definitely be willing to stay longer. I feel I fit in really well and would be happy to stay as long as I'm needed.”
