FULHAM don't want to lose Bobby Zamora.
Boss Roy Hodgson was at pains to admit defeat in keeping the misfiring striker after the club accepted a £5million bid from Hull this week.
Hodgson even risked the former West Ham frontman in a friendly against Perth Glory on Wednesday.
But with the Whites eyeing 11m west Londoner Peter Crouch, Zamora is no longer a shoo-in for a starting spot at Craven Cottage.
And Hodgson insists it was the player who contributed just four goals in 41 appearances for Fulham who pushed for a move.
Speaking from Australia, the Whites supremo said: "If he leaves it would be because he wants to go rather than anything this club wants.
“As regards Crouch, he is a player we’re interested in - but there again, so are a number of others, and at the moment Peter is a Portsmouth player."
