ADAM Prunty smashed two decade-old county records on a brilliant weekend for Hillingdon Swimming Club on the first weekend of the Middlesex County Championship. 

The 15-year-old flyer rewrote the record books with a devastating time of 16mins 21secs to take gold in the 1,500m freestyle, before storming to first in the 800m freestyle in a brilliant 8mins 33secs.

Team-mates Louis Smith and Adam Wood took 1500m freestyle golds in the 13 and 16 year old categories, while 11-year-old Lauren O'Connor, 15-year-old Jaycee Sibley and 16-year-old Karley Mann all claimed first in the equivalent girls races.

Silvers were picked up by Sarah Harrington, Bradley O'Connor, Luke Condor and Luke Spain, as George Prunty and Alex Carr grabbed a bronze each and the Hillingdon youngsters monopolised the podium places. 

The 800m freestyle was also fertile ground for the team, as Jamie Woodman and Francesca Marr took golds, while silvers were picked up by Danny Nelson, Adam Wood and Sophie Wilson.

Lauren O'Connor, Sarah Harrington, Davin McAndrew and Lucas Navarro took bronzes. Nine-year-old Brodie Judge took the 50m backstroke gold, and Max Fraser had a splendid day, claiming four sprint medals - one gold, two silvers and a bronze.

In the 10-year age group Tegan Drew starred, winning the 50m freestyle and backstroke and claiming second in the butterfly and breaststroke. Alfie Collins won silver in the 50m breaststroke and butterfly while team-mate Daniel Lachasseigne swam to bronze in the 50m backstroke. 

Lauren O'Connor got in the medals in the sprints, gold in the breaststroke and backstroke silver, while George Taplin won the back-stroke, gained silver in the freestyle and bronze in the butterfly.  

Danny Nelson dominated in the 13-year-old category, winning freestyle, butterfly and backstroke as team-mate Louis South added bronze in the breaststroke. 

Sarah Procter won a silver and bronze, Adelle Hall collected a second place, and Holly Esson and Fiona McAndrew were both third.

The 16-year-old girls had success as Sarah Quinn grabbed two silvers, Lucy Taplin won bronze in the 50m backstroke and Sophie Wilson claimed silver in the 17 years breaststroke and bronze in the butterfly.
