HAYES and Yeading could hand new signing Dwane Lee his debut for tomorrow's visit of promotion-chasers York City.

Much-travelled Grenadian midfielder Lee signed on the dotted line in time to be an unused substitute for Tuesday night's 2-1 defeat at Tamworth and the ex-Barnet man is match-fit having kept himselt ticking over at Ryman Premier side Lewes this season.

Hayes and Yeading boss Nas Bashir must decide whether to recall striker Richard Paquette (pictured) to the starting line-up against his old club.

Pacquette has struck four goals so far in the Blue Square Premier and will be itching to show his old club what he can do after an unhappy spell with the Minstermen two seasons ago.

Bashir's men played with Tom Collins as their only recognised striker at Tamworth and the 19-year-old ex-Stevenage Borough striker admits he may have to be taken out of the firing line from time to time.

"I think I would be out of my depth if I played every game," said Collins, who has scored three goals this season. "I think my strength let me down a bit when I was at Stevenage, but I did bulk up a bit.

"A typical Stevenage Borough player is a big, physical, hard-working guy. I feel that I can enjoy myself here under Nas and Tristan (Lewis) and hopefully I can get into the Football League.

"I need to keep working hard though, but I think I have found my position now. I am a centre-forward and not a left-midfielder."

City visit Kingfield in third spot after a run of five wins without defeat and they face a Hayes and Yeading side in 20th place and only separated from the Blue Square Premier relegation zone on goal difference.

But City boss Gary Mills is wary of underestimating Hayes and Yeading.

"It's another challenge for us," he said. "It's going away to a team that win a game then lose a couple, and they're a footballing side as well. They try and play, so it makes a good game.

"The challenge for me on Saturday is the fact we're third. I don't want to be any lower than third come Saturday night."
