NAS Bashir says his Hayes and Yeading side must learn quickly from last night's defeat to Ebbsfleet United - or face relegation.

Bashir's new-look side dominated the second-half and created several clear-cut chances to have earned a precious three points, but they slipped to a 2-1 defeat that keeps them anchored in the relegation zone.

And boss Bashir said: "We got a good goal at the start of the second-half and for the next 30 minutes, we dominated, and had three really good chances to go 3-1 up.

"But that is the problem. At the moment in games when we can kill teams off we don't do it and we were punished near the end when we conceded a soft goal. The performance was good from certain individuals, but we have got to learn from it if we are to move forward and move up this league. Games like that tonight, we have to get three points.

"I am disappointed as their reaction at the end showed that it was like a smash-and-grab. We have to start winning games and we have to re-group for Saturday. There are a lot of new players in the team at the moment so we are still gelling and hopefully we can put in a better performance on Saturday and get the three points that we need."
