GREG Ngoyi's poachers hat-trick kept Wealdstone's Ryman Premier promotion hopes alive as then condemned derby rivals Harrow Borough to a deflating 3-0 reversal at Earlsmead on Easter Monday.

The striker pounced twice in as many first half minutes to put Gordon Bartlett's side in control very much against run of play before he killed off the game from the penalty spot less than a minute in the second half after Danny Leech had felled James Gray.

Borough, who were unbeaten in their last nine league games and had won their previous three, failed to recover from Ngoyi's quick-fire first half double and their misery was compounded by the sending off of skipper Wayne Walters for two bookable offences. However, it was a vast improvement on the 6-0 drubbing they suffered at Grosvenor Vale last Christmas.
