ROCKY Baptiste’s double helped Harrow Borough make it eight games unbeaten with victory at Billericay on Tuesday night.

The veteran striker returned to the Borough starting line-up after a cameo performance in Sunday’s win at Kingstonian, to take his league tally to six for the season as the Earlsmead side climbed to 13th in the table.

Chris King was the other man on target for the visitors who made it two wins out of two for caretaker boss Ken Charlery - currently in the hot-seat while David Howell is away in Barbados on family matters.

It took Baptiste just nine minutes to put Borough ahead, and though Billericay levelled midway through the half, the former Havant & Waterlooville front-man struck again to restore his side’s lead just before the half hour.

King, who was unfortunate to score an own-goal in Sunday’s win at Kingstonian, then gave his side breathing space with the third 11 minutes after the break.

The one blot on an otherwise excellent night for Charlery’s men was the dismissal for two yellows of central midfielder David Ijaha.
