The Ash Trees took the lad against Howell's men but Borough responded with three goals in either half to finish their Ryman Premier campaign on a high. “As an ex player of ours and a personal friend people might have thought we would go through the motions and that we had nothing to play for but our personal pride,” said Howell. “But it was great performance and a good way to end the season. “Of course I feel sorry for Jamie. He started off there like a train, beating us 2-0 as they went on a 13 match unbeaten run. That then went in reverse and the problem Jamie had was losing so many good players like Byron Harrison and Ricky Wellard and not being allowed to replace them.” After a superb run of results in February Harrow tailed off towards the end of the season but Howell is confident there is more to come from his side next season. “The recent run has been a poor one,” added Howell. “Hopefully I can add a few players and look to improve on what we have done this season. “The players will enjoy the end-of-season do and then we will start planning for next season.”
