TEN members of Queens Park Harriers Athletics Club raised £18,000 for the Cerebral Palsy charity during an energy-sapping challenge at Willesden Sports Stadium on Saturday.

They aimed to complete 10 miles with an hour - six minutes per mile - and their combined time was an impressive 55.36 with all runners smashing their personal best times.

First runner, Bertie Miller, the oldest competitor, did his mile in 5.53 before that was bettered by Phil Way, his 5.13 the fastest time of the day. Organiser Cody Burridges shaved his PB by 30 seconds with 5.49 before Matt Comboy (5.34), Ross Woods (5.30), Mark Slade (5.45), Roo Kendal (5.37), James McDowell (5.43), Mark Price (5.21) and Simon Brotherson (5.31) crossed the finishing line.
