UWE Rosler has urged Harlee Dean to follow Brentford’s young guns in committing his future to the club.

Keeper Simon Moore and midfielder Adam Forshaw have signed three-year deals, while Jake Bidwell has also pledged himself to Griffin Park until 2016 after a successful loan spell.

However, Dean has so far failed to sign the improved contract on offer, with a number of sides monitoring his situation closely.

The former Southampton centre-back still has 12 months to run on his deal in TW8, and boss Rosler wants the 21-year-old to commit to the Bees for the long term.

He said: “I said after Wembley our biggest challenge was to keep hold of our assets and build this football club around those players.

“I hope Harlee realises, like the others have, what he has at Brentford. It’s the perfect place for him to develop.

“He’s only had one full season in league football, and the second year is always more challenging because they have to live up to expectation.

“We hope Harlee sees his future here at Brentford.”
