MARK Harper is refusing to push the panic button just yet - despite his Hampton & Richmond Borough side falling to yet another defeat on Saturday.

A debut goal from Norwich City loan player Patrick Drmola was not enough to save Hampton from a 2-1 defeat at Welling and leave them firmly rooted at the bottom of Blue Square South.

The Beavers are still without an away win and have managed only seven points in total, but boss Harper still believes his side can climb out of the danger zone.

He said: "We are a young side compared to a lot of the teams, but I keep telling the boys we only need to go on a run of three to four wins and we’ll jump up the table.

“We only won nine games last year, and those wins can come at any stage during the season, but the later you leave it the more twitchy and worried people will get.

“If we don’t win a game between now and Christmas I know everyone is going to be frustrated, but every game after that is winnable. Circumstances with clubs at this level change, budgets tend to dry up and a lot of sides will chop and change.

“It has already been proven that any side can beat each other in this league, so I am always confident. But it frustrates me like hell that we have to go 2-0 down before we start playing."
