It was third time lucky for Chiswick Club Society A in the Hammersmith Darts Thursday League this week.

CCS ‘A’ were looking to rescue their season with a third place finish in Division Two.

Having suffered close defeats to leaders Angels twice this season, they battled through to a shock 8-5 win this week, while rocking the top of the table in the process. It was only the second time Angels have tasted defeat.

Meanwhile, second place Sinners guaranteed themselves a top two finish after a 7-6 win at home against Chiswick Club Society C, and with two games in hand, they are chasing the elusive top spot and promotion to Division One.

In a table of two halves, the top three teams in the top flight are separated by just one point with each throw of tungsten turning up the heat.

Meanwhile, the bottom three all risk relegation.

Every Division One match headed to a nail-biting 7-6 score, with Stewart Arms B besting Memorial B to claw back an unlikely win.

Other victories on the night went to Chiswick Club Society B and DT teams edging out their opponents for the 3 points. Aaron Wilson of Chiswick Memorial B hit a 154 finish, the highest in the league so far.
