HANWELL TOWN'S recent goal glut shows no signs of letting up as they moved up to eighth in the league, thanks to a 6-2 mauling of Haringey Borough on Tuesday night.

Full of confidence, Town - who hit five against Kentish Town on Saturday - raced into a 4-0 lead in half an hour.

On eight minutes, Charley Baverstock was tripped in the box and Blaise O'Brien drove home the resulting spot-kick. Baverstock found the net himself two minutes later, when he turned home O'Brien's cross from close range.

Lee O'Leary's two strikes doubled the lead, before Haringey fought back with two goals before the break, from Billy Haspineall and Theo Charalambos.

Town continued to dominate the game after the interval, but it wasn't until the final 10 minutes that they scored again through O'Brien and Baverstock to underline their dominance.

The win made it two victories and 11 goals scored in just four days following Saturday's 5-0 win over Kentish Town.

From the outset, they took control and, although Baverstock missed a sitter early on, the opener soon arrived, with Michael Buckley turning home Yassine Fehmi-Gil's low cross in the 15th minute.

Town missed several good chances to increase their lead, including an incredible miss by Baverstock, who shot over the bar from point-blank range, but they eventually went 2-0 ahead just before the interval when Baverstock crossed to Chris Mills, whose shot, blocked on the line, was finished off by O'Brien.

Any thoughts Kentish Town might have had of getting back into the game in the second half were quickly dispelled when O'Brien set up Baverstock for Town's third goal on 50 minutes.

Town's fourth came from a short corner, which Mills took on before cutting inside and drilling low into the net. Baverstock got Town's fifth from the spot in the closing minutes after he was tripped by Kentish Town skipper Nathan Knox. **Town travel to title contenders Dunstable Town tomorrow.
