FORMER London Wasps star Chris Bishay was the two-try hero as Staines won 30-15 at Luton on Saturday.

After Chris Wells gave Staines a good advantage with three penalties in the first 15 minutes, Feltham flier Bishay grabbed the game's first try, converted by Wells.

Bishay, who was released by Wasps in 2009 after two full appearances, and whose younger brother, Mike, is at rugby league side London Broncos, was sin-binned less than a minute later.

However, Luton were themselves down to 13 men by that stage, so Staines still held the numerical advantage and scored a further try through Lewis Price, converted by Wells again, to take a 23-0 half time lead.

Two tries for the hosts after the break saw them bring it back to 23-15 with 16 minutes left, but Bishay had the final say with the crucial try five minutes from time, which along with Wells' conversion, sealed Staines' victory.

All of which leaves the Hanworth-based side 10 th in the National Three London & SE table and five points clear of the drop zone.
