FORMER Brentford triallist Kezie Ibe came back to haunt the Bees last night with a match-winning brace for Farnborough.
The striker, who had an unsuccessful trial with the Bees last summer, struck twice in the first 23 minutes at Cherrywood Road.
Brentford later pulled a goal back through a 55th-minute strike from David Pitt, rounding the Farnborough keeper before slotting home.
But that was not enough to prevent a 2-1 defeat for the Bees in the opening game of their pre-season programme.
However, with the entire first team on a training camp in Marbella, it was a Brentford youth team which took on their Southern League opponents.
There were not too many familiar names in red and white; among them Charlie Allen, the son of former Bees boss Martin, who played at right-back and centre midfielder.
BEES: Moore, Allen, Pemberton, Graham, Butt, Bush, Vassell, McCluskey, Banks-Smith, Ward, Gomez. Subs (all used): Zanelli, Ford, Whyte, Reeves, Smith, Pitt, Burt.
