JONATHAN Douglas is desperate to get to the Johnstone's Paint Trophy final and end his Wembley hoodoo.

The Brentford midfielder has appeared in two play-off finals at the home of football, but been on the losing side on both occasions.

However, the former Leeds United and Swindon star is three games away from another trip to north-west London in the JPT.

The Bees travel to Barnet in the southern area semi-final tomorrow night, and Douglas is desperate not to let another opportunity go begging.

He said: “The JPT is important. It's a chance to play at Wembley and not many people can say they've done that.

“I've played in two play-off finals and I haven't won a game there - it's devastating. You want to go there and play well and win but unfortunately it wasn't to be.

“Hopefully it's a case of third time lucky. The lads got to the final and got beat and we want to go one better this year.”
