NICKY Forster has thrown his hat into the ring to become the new manager of Hayes and Yeading.
The 37-year-old missed out on the vacant post at Brentford despite a successful spell as interim boss, and has hung up his boots to concentrate on his managerial career.
It is understood Forster wants to succeed Garry Haylock at Hayes after he left the club by mutual consent this week.
The club have already started identifying candidates for the job, but insist there's no timescale to find the right man.
A statement on the official website said: "No timescale has yet been placed on the process as the club wish to make sure that the correct candidate is appointed, but hope to progress matters swiftly in order to give the new manager the best possible chance to prepare fully for the new season ahead."
