THERE was a sting in the tale of Feltham’s Middlesex Premier Cup final victory over Southall this week.

Former QPR youngster Javonne Molloy struck twice to crown his man of the match performance in the 3-0 win over Spartan South Midlands opponents Southall.

However, the resulting silverware turned out to be a parting gift as 24 hours later he was gone, having been the subject of a seven-day approach from Evo-Stik Division One Central side Ashford Town (Middx).

He underlined what the men of The Orchard would miss when scoring for the Tangerines on his debut on Tuesday night.

Tisson, though, saluted the contribution Molloy had made in his short stay at the club and wished him well in his new venture, while calling on the club’s remaining strikers to fill the void.

He said: “Javonne came to us mid-season and has been superb and a real goal threat.

"But Ashford had made the approach and it was a chance to play two levels higher. We could not deny the boy that, so he played in the final and was gone the following day.

“We have other strikers like Ryan Curtis and Shadrack Williams who now have to step into his shoes and get the goals for us.”

After a blank first half, Molloy broke the deadlock, heading home Ayoub Amellai’s cross from the left.

Ten minutes later Molloy doubled his tally and Feltham’s advantage when latching onto a through ball and firing home and the cup was theirs 10 minutes from time when Curtis seized on a poor throw out by the Southall keeper to slot home the third.

“In the second half my boys just wanted it more and there was only one team in it once we scored the first goal,” added Tisson.
